CircuitAI is a privacy-first chat assistant. We collect the minimum data required to operate the service.

What we collect

What we do not collect

Name, email, phone number, location, contacts, photos, microphone audio, or advertising identifier (IDFA)
We do not track you across other apps or websites (NSPrivacyTracking = false)
We do not sell personal information

On-device processing first

Whenever the prompt can be answered by Apple Intelligence on your device, the app uses Apple's Foundation Models framework. In that case nothing leaves your device. The router falls back to a cloud model only when the on-device model is unavailable, the task is too complex, or you explicitly request it.

Personal data detection and consent

The app detects personal information (emails, phone numbers, credit-card numbers, IBANs, API keys, crypto wallets) client-side. If detected, a confirmation dialog appears before the message leaves your device. You can disable this in Settings.

Third parties

OpenRouter (LLM gateway). Receives prompt content during a session; we pin data-collection: off.
LLM providers (Anthropic, OpenAI, Google, etc.). Selected per-request. Zero-retention APIs used where available for PII-containing requests.
RevenueCat (subscription management). Receives anonymous device id and Apple transaction receipt.
Fly.io (infrastructure host).

Data retention

Prompts are transient — held in memory only for the request, never persisted.
Anonymous device identifiers persist on your device until uninstall.
Subscription receipts retained as required by Apple/RevenueCat for billing.

Your rights

Reset your device identifier by deleting and reinstalling the app.
Cancel your subscription through Settings → Manage Subscription or Apple ID → Subscriptions.
Email team@getmegabrain.com to request deletion of your subscription record.

Children

CircuitAI is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this policy

Changes are posted to this URL with an updated effective date. Material changes are surfaced in-app on next launch.
